We have had the most amazing time in St Brigid's celebrating Math's Week 2022!
The week kicked off with our very exciting principal's challenge. We received so many amazing entries throughout the week. Congratulations to Florence Byrne who was our overall winner!
On Monday the girls from 3rd - 6th class took part in a 'teachers vrs students' tables challenge. It was very close, however, Kate Lane from Ms McGranes 6th class took home the prize! Well done, Kate!
On Tuesday the girls from Junior Infants to 2nd class took part in a teacher swap! The girls went to different classrooms and tried out lots of different maths activities. They had so much fun! They also got to pay a visit to the hall to play some games.

On Wednesday, the rain took over for most of the day! However, we didn't let that stop us! Lots of classes took part in maths trails around the school, putting all their maths skills to good use.

On Friday we had our usual 'Wake up Shake up' but maths edition!! We added some new dances into the mix such as Mambo number 5 and Mr. Knickerbocker. The girls also got to wear maths t-shirts to celebrate the end of maths week. The girls in Junior and Senior Infants were very lucky to have a special visit from architect Joana Nunes. Joana spoke to the girls all about her job, and how she uses maths every day!
