Many of our classes are taking part in the Incredible Edibles Programme. This is a healthy eating initiative that encourages primary schools across the country to get busy growing carrots, lettuce, potatoes, strawberries, turnips and herbs. The school was supplied with grow packs containing everything they need to grow a veritable feast of healthy foods! Noel, our caretaker, has also been helping classes to plant a variety of herbs and vegetables that should be ready to cook with before the end of the school year. The girls are also learning about where food comes from and the importance of fruit, vegetables and potatoes in their diet. The children are taking great pride in the growing of their crops and making sure they are being watered and weeded regularly.
