On the 22nd of June, we welcomed Lord Mayor, Alison Gilliland to the school. The Lord Mayor was invited to the school to raise our third Active Flag and our first Amber Flag. She met with our school committees who discussed the work they have been doing on physical activities, health and well-being, STEM and creative arts. The committees displayed photos and videos of the activities that have taken place in St. Brigid's over the last year. Following this, the Lord Mayor came outside where the whole school gathered together to witness the raising of our two flags. There was great excitement. The Lord Mayor presented the STEM committee with an award which the school achieved for their work on maths and science. The Lord Mayor also presented the Creative Arts Committee with a letter which was sent to the school by David Attenborough in response to all the letters received by children in the school.
