On Friday 3rd of June, the two 4th classes went on a tour to Causey Farm in Meath.  There was so much excitement on the bus, it was great for the girls to finally all go on a trip together.  The girls had great fun on a tractor ride to the bog.  They went on an obstacle course through the woods.  They got to see lots of farm animals including lambs, horses, cows, chickens, alpacas and some piglets who were only born the morning of the tour.  They learned about the bog as they made their way to the bog hole and spotted some bog cotton on their way.  The highlight of the trip was when the girls took off their shoes and socks and jumped into the bog hole.  They were covered from head to toe in muck and they absolutely loved it.  And if they weren't already wet and muddy enough, they made sure they were by jumping and splashing around in every puddle they could find.  The girls really enjoyed their day out!
