On Tuesday 10th of December Ms. Flynn's 3rd class took part in an electricity workshop organised by ESB. The girls had a great time making Scribblebots and they even got to take home their creations at the end of the day! The girls learnt about the work of the ESB and where we get our electricity from. The workshop was very hands on and engaging. Children made electric circuits using batteries, wires and a motor. These were attached to a paper cup with markers. The motor caused the Scribblebots to vibrate which created interesting drawings on a page. At the end the children decorated their Scribblebots. The following week the children wrote an explanation text about how the Scribblebots work. It certainly was a fun way to learn about electric circuits. Many thanks to the ESB team who organised the workshop.
