The girls in 6th class have been reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in English for the past few weeks. The girls have been engaging in a number of different activities such as writing Hogwarts letters, procedural writing and diagon alley art. As part of our study of Harry Potter, the girls completed a castle project. The girls started by collecting lots of cardboard, cans and other building materials. Then, they created a plan of how they would build their castle. With the help of Noel and their teachers the girls started to construct their castles. It took a lot of hard work, but the girls were absolutely over the moon with their castles. The girls also made circuits to light up the inside of their castles and make them extra magical. On Tuesday 25th, the whole school was invited to the hall to see the amazing display. The girls displayed their castles, demonstrated magic tricks and much more.
