The girls in Ms. Barry's and Ms. McGrane's classes have been learning all about rocks and crystals. As part of this we decided to make our own crystals using salt and hot water. We had to be very careful to make sure that all of the salt was dissolved into the hot water. We had to leave the mixture for over 4 weeks in order for the crystals to form. The aim was to get them to grow on the string - but some of us got a little more than we bargained for!

We were very happy with our end result - some of us even got to take our crystals home!
