Active Week 2022 took place from the 24th-29th of April 2022.  Our active week kicked off in St. Anne's Park where children and their families ran in the Junior Parkrun.  Throughout the week all classes participated in a variety of taster sessions which included Yoga as Gaeilge, Ultimate Frisbee, Fencing, Tag-Rugby, Badminton, Dancing and Cricket.  Whole school activities included Active Walkway activities, Orienteering, Skipathon and an Active Picnic.   Each day an active challenge was sent to the whole school to try out for homework.  We also had Wake Up Shake Ups where all parents and childminders were invited to participate in some dancing before the start of the day on the Monday and Friday.  Many parents and grandparents also came into the school to teach playground games to classes, with some parents and grandparents even showing competing in a relay race which the children loved!  The finale of our Active Week was a whole school event where all the finalists of the Skipathon had a "Skip Off."  The teachers also challenged the Active Committee to a game of Dodgeball which was also lots of fun.  The sun shone on St. Brigid's for the whole week and Active School Week 2022 was a great success!
