September in our Junior Infant classes!

Here are some pictures from the Junior Infants in Ms.Costello's and Ms. Flynn's first month of school! We have had lots of fun and made loads of new friends!

In Aistear, we focused on the theme of 'School'. We learned all about the people who work in our school- the principal, teachers, the caretaker, cleaners, and the lollipop lady. We then pretended to be all these people in our role-play area at play time. We also did lots of cutting and sticking, tracing and played with play dough to practice our fine motor skills! It was loads of fun!

In September, we did our first Science Experiment! We used skittles and water. We watched the colours of the skittles 'melt away' and disperse. In Art, we also looked at the primary colours- red, yellow, blue and we started mixing colours to create new ones! We made colour wheel turtles.

We also cheered on the boys and girls in Blue for the All Ireland Final weekend. We made flags and jerseys to show our support! We were so happy when the won the Sam Maguire Cup and the Brendan Martin Cup.
