On the 7th of April 47 girls from 3rd-6th Class participated in a cross country event in St. Anne's Park.  The girls trained in St. Mary's Secondary School during lunchtime in preparation for the event.  3rd and 4th class ran 500 metres while 5th and 6th class ran 800 metres.  There were lots of local schools competing in the event.  The girls were absolutely fantastic in how they ran their races.  They were also very supportive to their team members and represented St. Brigid's so well.  It was a really fun day and six girls won prizes in their races.  Well done to all the girls involved and we look forward to seeing them running again soon.
