4th, 5th and 6th class girls participated in lots of fun activities as part of Sports Week. The girls ran races, made their very own obstacle courses while some engaged in the toilet paper Olympics!!!
The girls had great fun and some even got the whole family involved.

The girls in St. Brigid's have been very busy since the announcement of school closures on March the 12th. While doing lots of learning online they have also been engaging in some 'fun activities' assigned by their teachers.

Since the announcement of school closures all the girls in St. Brigid's GNS have been working very hard by engaging in distant learning. Some girls created posters to encourage us all to stay safe during this difficult time.

We had a great week of craic agus spraoi sa scoil as each of the classes made a huge effort for Seachtain na Gaeilge. Throughout the week the girls made an extra effort to speak as Gaeilge in their classes, in the corridors and in the school yard.
There were lots of activities in the school to celebrate SnaG. A pupil from each class was chosen as a winner in our St.Patrick's Day Art competition. A 'Cainteoir na Seachtaine' was also selected from each of the classes and presented with a prize from Ms. Diffley. On Tuesday we had a trad group 'Airneáin' visit the school to give workshops to all the classes. On Wednesday 'Cluiche Gaeilge' were organised for the children to participate in which they thoroughly enjoyed. On Friday we had young musicians from Ceoltas Ceoltóirí Éirinn visit the school. They performed a variety of traditional Irish songs and the children sang along. They also talked about the different instruments they played and what they were made from. Unfortunately we didn't get to have our 'Lá Glas' and 'Céilí Mor' which was planned for Friday due to the school closures. All in all the children had a great week and learned lots of new phrases.
'Míle Buíochas' to Ms.McDOnald for coordinating the week and to all the teachers and pupils for making it an enjoyable week!
