The two fifth classes exhibited their Harry Potter castles and dioramas in the school hall on October 23rd. Every class in the school visited and were amazed by the variety of magical light tricks, wand demonstrations and art work on display. The atmosphere in the school reminded us all of Hogwarts!

Our Junior Infant classes had a very busy October, learning about Autumn, displaying items on the class nature tables, visiting our pumpkin patch in the school garden, doing Halloween Art and lots more.
Each of the classes participated in lots of fun activities this week including playing larger sized Maths based games (Connect 4, Quoits, Noughts and Crosses, TinCan Alley, Snakes and Ladders, Jenga and Dominoes), Lego, puzzles, Maths trails, Scratch challenges, Maths themed Art lessons as well as online Maths games and activities.

Our school was recently recognised for our committment to entrepreneurship education at the recent Entrepreneurial School Awards (TESA) held in Microsoft. An award was presented to Ms.Concannon on the day, who leads Junior Achievement in our school. Junior Achievment aims to inspire and motivate young people to realise their potential by valuing education and understanding how to succeed in the world of work.
A farmyard visited our schoolyard on Thus 17th October! The girls in Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 1st classes each spent a half hour visiting the farmyard. Some of the animals that were there included Ducks & Ducklings, Rabbits, Kits & Guinea Pigs, Sheep and Lambs, Nubian and Pygmy Goats & Kids, Chicks, Hens & Roosters! The girls got to pet the animals and learn about them.
