Ms.Devilly's class  learned all about the lifecycle of a butterfly recently. The classroom was full of excitement these last few weeks as the children observed the changes that took place between each stage until eventually the butterflies appeared!! The girls enjoyed releasing the butterflies into the open air for them to enjoy the next stage of their life!

Mad hair day today in the school meant lots of crazy hairstyles! All for a good cause though as the children donated €1 to the Irish Cancer Society. A total of €666 was raised, thank you. As the fabulous weather continued today, all of the girls were treated to an ice-cream cone. This treat was our way of saying well done for all their hard work in class this year. Of course the teachers and other staff members also enjoyed the well-deserved treat too!

The girls from Ms.McKenna and Ms.Wickham's 3rd classes took a trip to St.Anne's Park today. As well as soaking up the sun, the girls enjoyed the beautiful rose garden, the playground and also did some orienteering. What a beautiful day!

Our newly refurbished computer room is now complete! After a long few months of planning and designing, we have a room equipped with 31 PC's, an Activpanel board and IPads. Thank you to the Student Council, teachers and classes who helped during the design stages. Special mention of thanks to Noel, our caretaker, who prepared the room for the refurbishment and did a fabulous job painting! We hope the teachers and pupils enjoy their new e-learning experiences!

On Friday Nina Hanvey, Kate Mc Govern and Aoife Boyle were chosen to go to Belfast to represent Dublin in the Cumann na mBunscol Friendship games. Here is an account of the day from one of the girls:

We played against Antrim in Gaelic for the Friendship Games. We met all the other girls at Connolly Station and left at 7:30am. We arrived at 10:00am in Belfast. The game started at 11:00am and sadly we lost. Both teams exchanged medals and we got to keep the gear. After we went for something to eat in the Devenish restaurant. Then we went on a bus tour around Belfast and learned lots of new things. We saw murals in the city. It was very interesting. We made lots of new friends and it was a great experience.
