Our choir had a very busy day today recording their Christmas Album. The girls sang many of our Christmas favourites! A big thank you to the teachers involved, Rodney and Kevin who helped out with the recording.
Well done to Fiona Rose, Arianna and Jules whose drawings were chosen to create the CD cover. We cannot wait to see and hear the finished product!
The Christmas CD will be available to purchase in the school from December 18th. It can also be purchased before and after the Christmas Carol Service which takes place in St. Brigid's Church, Killester on Tuesday 19th December at 7pm. Funds raised from the Christmas album will go towards school improvements.

Our two 5th classes made the trip into the docklands on Fri nov 17th to tour the historic Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship. The tour involved getting a sense of the experience of the millions of people who crossed the Atlantic Ocean in tall ships, seeking survival and hope in the "New World".

The pupils in Ms.Hayes 3rd class travelled to the Rediscovery Centre to participate in a Waste workshop, organised by WEEE Ireland. The girls investigated what waste is, how much we produce and how waste is managed. The workshop examined the issue of electronic waste and communicated best practice. Students were encouraged to explore ideas on waste reduction, reuse and recycling, through discussion and interactive activities. The workshop featured a range of hands-on activities promoting reusing and recycling waste materials.

The girls on our Green Team had a busy morning on Tuesday November 7th as they helped plant 50 small trees in our school garden! A group of volunteers from Experian, a local community who kindly donated the trees, visited the school and worked with the committee members to plant the trees. Noel, our caretaker, was also there to lend a helping hand. Everyone did a great job and we look forward to seeing the trees grow over the years to come.
