The girls and staff in St.Brigid's made a huge effort today as they dressed up in their Halloween costumes. From witches to vampires, ghosts to pumpkins, there were lots of spooky characters around the school.!

Ms.O'Donovan's 5th class showcased their Hogwarts castles in a fabulous exhibition in our school hall on Wed 24th October. The girls worked on this project in the weeks leading up to Halloween, constructing the castles from recyclable materials , decorating the interiors and even adding lights and magic spells! The hall was in darkness while the theme tune from Harry Potter played in the background as classes got the opportunity to see the creations and ask lots of questions about the castles. Well done to the girls for their creativity and skill in creating their masterpieces!

Our Annual Halloween Bakesale was held on Thursday 25th October. The 6th class girls had the huge task of preparing for this big event, decorating the classroom and baking lots of lovely treats. Each of the classes visited the bakesale during the day to buy some delicious goodies. All funds raised will be donated to LauraLynn Children's Hospice. Thank you to all who supported this worthy cause and well done to Ms.Kenny, Ms. Nagle and the two 6th classes for organising such a successful fundraising event!

Maths week runs from October 13th-21st 2018.

Each of the classes participated in lots of fun activities this week including playing larger sized Maths based games (Connect 4, Quoits, Noughts and Crosses, TinCan Alley, Snakes and Ladders, Jenga and Dominoes), Lego, puzzles, Maths trails, Scratch challenges, Maths themed Art lessons as well as online Maths games and activities.
