A fantastic day in Irishtown Stadium for the Dublin FAI Schools Finals was had on Wed 25th April by our soccer team and mentors. Gary and the the girls remained undefeated throughout and played some super soccer. They topped their group, won their semi-final comfortably and played Our Lady of Good Counsel, last years Dublin and Leinster Champions, in the final. Georgie O'C (5th class) scored our first goal and OLGC went on to equalise in the last ten seconds. The game went to penalties and then sudden death where we were defeated 2-1. A wonderful performance from our team. Many thanks to Ms.Farrell for co-ordinating this year's FAI soccer league.

Our Junior Infant classes had lots of fun planting strawberries in a planter in our new school garden. The girls dug, planted and watered the plants. We look forward to watching them grow and tasting some delicious strawberries!

The girls from Ms.O'Donovan's class really enjoyed tutoring the pupils from Ms.Howard's Senior Infants in the computer room. The girls showed them how to do lots of fun learning activities on the computers.

Our 1st-6th classes thoroughly enjoyed a visit from a member of the Outreach programme in Dublin Zoo this week. The lady delivered highly engaging sessions on wildlife from around the world using brilliant biofacts, Dublin Zoo animal footage and insights to conservation work in the field. These workshops support the SESE curriculum, as well as the work our school is undertaking on the theme of Biodiversity, and is also DPSM (Discover Primary Science & Maths) accredited.

The two 4th classes enjoyed a trip to Causey Farm on Tues 19th. the girls set off on their trip early and made the journey to Meath to experience lots of farm activities and the bog!

The 3rd classes and Ms.Shiels 1st class celebrated World Book Day a little later than expected this year. The girls dressed up as their favourite book characters.
