On Friday the 27th of January the children had a great day learning how to make Swiss rolls. They learned how to use a weighing scales to measure out the ingredients and learned all about the importance of hygiene when baking. The Swiss rolls came out lovely and they all got to try some and bring some home. We had a great time and thanks to Noel, our caretaker, who helped out!

Junior Infant News!
Ms Flynn & Ms.Reilly's Junior Infant classes are enjoying their second term in school. They have started gymnastics in P.E and are practising Yoga! The girls are also enjoying 'Aistear' - (Aistear: the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework celebrates early childhood as a time of being, and of enjoying and learning from experiences as they unfold. This early learning also lays important foundations for later learning. Because early childhood marks the beginning of children’s lifelong learning journeys, this framework is called Aistear, the Irish word for journey). The theme for Aistear this month is the 'Supermarket' so the girls are getting lots of opportunities to buy groceries, talk about food items and role-play.
