Our two Senior Infant classes put on a fantastic performance of 'A Wriggly Nativity'. It was recorded and sent home to their parents as they couldn't come into the school due to Covid. The girls really shone on stage and did themselves very proud! They had lots of fun practicing. Ms. Costello and Ms.Reilly also worked very hard behind the scenes so well done to you too!

Dance Workshops
St. Brigid's GNS is a Creative Arts School and as part of this initiative a dance workshop was organised for all classes to participate in this week. The children worked with the teacher, Rachel who guided the children through story based drama followed up by a choregraphed dance that was suitable to all age groups. It was a very enjoyable experience for the girls who were very engaged in the activities.

Science Week 2021
It has been a very exciting week in St. Brigid's GNS as the girls have been very busy engaging in Science Week. Lots of classes have been working on projects and carrying out extra experiments and Stem workshops in their classrooms. There were STEM stations set up in the school hall where all classes had the opportunity to engage in STEM activities which included: lego, beebots, construction, magnetic boards, challenge cards etc. Children have also completed scratch challenges in the computer room and have been using the Ipads in their classroom. The children have lots of science themed work on display outside their classrooms. Other classes have been exploring the natural environment and have been busy planting and learning about how fruit and vegetables grow. Well done to all the children for their enthusiastic engagement in all of the work!

Hogwarts Castles
Ms.O'Donovan and Ms. Barry's 6th class girls showcased their Hogwarts castles in a fabulous exhibition in our school hall on Thursday the 21st of October. The girls worked on this project in the weeks leading up to Halloween, constructing the castles from recyclable materials, decorating the interiors and even adding lights and magic spells! The hall was in darkness while the theme tune from Harry Potter played in the background as classes got the opportunity to see the creations and ask lots of questions about the castles. Well done to the girls for their creativity and skill in creating their masterpieces!
